Well, Guatemala was amazing! I got back last week and I finally got all my film processed, printed, scanned, and uploaded (sheesh.) The people I went with were awesome (well most of them anyways.) I made some great new friends and honestly I’m already looking at when I could possibly go back.
This was a trip of firsts:
The best part of the trip was the day we rented scooters in Antigua…unbelievable.
Well after nine hours of flying, instead of waking up in beautiful Guatemala City, I woke up on the filthy floor of Miami Interntional Airport. Here’s how it happened.
On our initial approach of Guatemala City literally right before the plane touched down the pilot sharply pulled up and we started to circle the Guatemalan airstrip, evidentaly the runways were too wet. Well we circled a few times before the pilot came on and told us that we had to go to Cancun to refuel. So we went there, refueled, took off, and headed back to Guatemala city…only to be waived off again. After that it was decided that we would go to Miami and then catch the next flight to Guatemala City…at 11am…we landed, I found a spot on the floor, put my earbuds in, and tried to sleep for a couple hours. Now I’m waiting to go for Guatemala City attempt number two.
Oh yeah and the fire alarm kept going of for like an hour while I was trying to sleep, that kinda sucked.
2 months agoWell I’m on my way to Guatemala. I’m at DFW airport (gate D40 to be exact) right now and should be boarding any minute.
I will not be posting any pics during the trip because I will not have Internet access and because I am not shooting digital anymore, I’m shooting film (thanks Johan!)
Anyways…I’m stoked this will be a fun 9 days.
2 months agoI finally saw the movie “Son of Rambo” this week and it was AMAZING! Everybody in the world should see this movie. It’s that good.
I know it’s playing at the Magnolia in Dallas…I’m not sure where else.

Concert was absolutely amazing. The whole time I was hoping they would play Paranoid Android thinking they probably wouldn’t. I was wrong though, they ended the show with it! They also played Exit Music and Idioteque which are some of my other favorites.I completely agree John. They played an amazing set. I still can’t believe they played my personal favorite “Fake Plastic Trees.” But I’m glad they did. 3 months ago
Well this afternoon I just finished the website that I was building for Jim Munroe of MAZE.
All the photos were shot by Johan Etsebeth, with the post production done by myself.
A huge thanks goes out to Keegan Jones for helping me with my CSS and IE fixes, seriously I couldn’t have done it without him.
It was a really fun project to work on, hopefully it will help Jim and his ministry.
3 months agoSo I found myself in a very awkward situation the other day that I would like to share.
I was at a restaurant with some friends and I told a hilarious joke, then promply got up to go to the bathroom (it’s always best to leave on a high note) and as I was entering the bathroom I was still laughing at my extremely clever and witty remark. Now at that moment there happended to be a guy leaving the bathroom, he of course was not laughing and for a split second our eyes met in an extremely awkward moment, held, then averted, he then briskly walked past me and out of the bathroom.
